HERITAGE

The enchanting market town of Wimborne Minster in Dorset is rich in character and steeped in history: a town of kings, smugglers and ancient legends.
Rising majestically above its quaint streets, riverside walks and pretty bridges is the 12th century Minster Church with its famous chained library - one of only four surviving in the world and second largest in the UK.

Wimborne is proud of the community it has built, from the hundreds of businesses in and around the town centre to the towns twinning's with Valognes and Ochsenfurt. Wimborne is a Dementia friendly community and is proud of its Fair Trade status as a town and its continued efforts to reduce plastic use and increase recycling.
